I am incredibly disappointed by how this practice handled both my dog’s care and my subsequent concerns. I have been a loyal client since this practice opened its doors and have trusted them with the care of my animals for years. Winnie was seen for a wellness exam and evaluation of her anal glands. The very next morning, we confirmed that she had fleas. I was understandably concerned that this had not been identified or mentioned during a physical wellness examination. When I went to the practice to address my concerns, I was hoping for a respectful conversation, some accountability, and reassurance that my concerns about Winnie’s care were being taken seriously. Instead, I found the interaction with management to be condescending, dismissive, and lacking in empathy. What happened afterward was even more troubling. After I communicated my disappointment about both the missed fleas and the way my concerns were handled, I was informed that the practice would no longer provide veterinary care for my pets and that they would transfer my records elsewhere. After years of loyalty to this practice, I find that response deeply disappointing. My concern was about the quality of my pet’s care and how that concern was handled. Rather than feeling heard or seeing an effort to repair the relationship, I was dismissed from the practice. Mistakes and oversights can happen in any medical setting. What matters tremendously to me is how a practice responds when a client raises a concern. In my experience, this situation was handled with defensiveness and dismissal rather than professionalism, accountability, and compassion. I am sharing this because other pet owners deserve to know how my concerns were managed when I questioned the care my dog received. After supporting this practice since it opened, I never expected our relationship to end this way

I had an excellent experience with each of the Clover Basin staff. Dr Garcia provided great care and was communicating with me at each step. Wonderful VAs and administrative staff. Everyone was in the loop. Would definitely take my dog there again for any Urgent Care needs. Thank you, CBAH Team!
